Program Description

The program is designed to match the national job market requirements; expressed by the national professional criteria set for female computer Internet technology programmer and developer. Training for the program involves general English language skills, mathematics, basic methods for human communications, and interaction with others.

Further, training covers basic skills required for computer software and developing Internet technologies; in addition to the specialized skills in the fields of computer networking; including matters and populating elated to computer software, including analyzing and designing database rules, using programming languages in developing various applications; in addition to using different technologies in designing websites.

Due to the needs of the trainee to have condensed practical training skills, a syllabus for practical application has been devised for the skills acquired by the female trainees to serve as a condensation of received training received on skills, held at the seat of the project; and it is conducted within the last training semester.

Included within the software specialty, addressing colleges and supervised by the General Authority of Private Training affiliated to the General Corporation for Technical & Vocational Training, we find that trainees receive 1600 training hours, in addition to another 420 training hours received in the job market.

Graduates of the program are granted a diploma certificate in computer technology (majored in software). It is equivalent to high education degrees issued by the technical colleges in the same specialty. It is expected that graduates may work in the fields connected with computer programming, as a female assistant programmer and a developer of Internet technologies, among other positions connected with various programming jobs.

General Objective of the Program:

The program aims at providing the female trainee with skills and information essential for practicing work in the field of computer software, commensurable with the fourth level of the national qualifications system.

Detailed Objectives of the Program

At the end of the program, the trainee shall be able to:

  • Assist in system analysis.
  • Participate in designing applications.
  • Assist in system development.
  • Update the system.
  • Maintain application programs.
  • Offer suggestions and consultations.
  • Develop websites.
  • Use technical terms related to computer.
